The Stride Lab
WeStryv, our Biomechanics Testing assesses each individual joint and it’s capacity for movement. Quite often our “problem areas” are actually caused by somewhere else in our integrated system. It’s our job to assess your joint function, strength and balance, and help regain function, range and symmetry within your body through different movement strategies.

Week 1 : Biomechanics Assessment
The Mobility Assessment provides a focused overview of your body, locating the key problem areas for us to work on. It’s perfect for anyone wanting to improve their movement and joint range, symmetry and mobility. The program includes a 20 day plan to begin resolving the restrictions we find within your body.
After a Full Body Assessment week, you are invited back for a comparative retest 3 weeks later (Session 4). The retest is a good opportunity to see how much you have improved and we can outline plans to continue to improve function, range and symmetry further.
Throughout weeks 2 & 3 we will work on your prescribed plan to ensure form is correct then add to or amend the program as nessecary.
Please be aware that I cannot perform an assessment on a client experiencing “pain” without them consulting a GP first. I am not a clinician and cannot diagnose the cause of pain, and it’s always best to seek medical help with the issue first. I am happy to assess other areas of your body as they may be contributing to the pain you’re experiencing, but I will not assess a painful area without a GP report.

After Your Assessment
Prepare, Strengthen & Stabilise
Once we have completed your assessment I will provide an athlete focused report which summarises the findings. A Full Body Assessment includes a detailed clinical report, ideal for clinicians or athletes and coaches with a good understanding of anatomy.
I’ll explain what movements are being inhibited and I’ll give you a 20 day plan so we can get you moving correctly again. It can take longer than the 14 days but every individual body has a different start point and history therefor will adapt differently but many clients see huge improvements once they complete the prescribed plan.
In a full body assessment I will take your body through a range of movements, using evidence based research we can assess whether each movement is within range for a normal functioning body or look at obtaining a greater range for high performance.
Tests are completed in varying loads, from plyometric loads, standing movements, seated controlled movements to being on a mat or massage table.
Clothing
You will be barefoot for most of the tests, although some tests require trainers or running shoes. Wearing leggings or shorts makes testing easier, I recommend a sports bra for women, and ideally a sports vest or t-shirt. One of the spine tests involve me looking at your back, so it is helpful if you’re happy to lift your top at the back. If you’re really uncomfortable about that it’s fine, we can just leave that test out.
Results
Once the tests have been completed i’ll provide you with the initial results draft and the brief of your 20 day plan to address any issues we uncover.
